Drop-In Program
We are a safe space where young people can socialize and engage in activities.
Our programming focuses on building positive coping skills and facilitates healthy relationships.
Supports offered can include assistance with housing, education, employment, advocacy, life skills, and other issues.
All 2SLGBTQIA+ identifying and questioning youth are welcome. Bring a friend!
Drop-In Hours offer snacks, games, art, discussions and more. Depending on the day, there may be special themes or activities. As these vary from week-to-week, check “@KanataCentre33” on Facebook or Instagram for updates.
The Drop-In provides informal peer support and is facilitated by Centre33 staff and/or volunteers. It’s a great place to build community, explore identity and work on developing social skills and relationships. We will sometimes have a facilitated discussion based on each group’s specific needs and wants. Discussions may include topics such as gender diversity, pronouns, safe storytelling, self-care, support systems, communication, and more. Participation in discussions isn’t mandatory, youth are welcome to eat snacks and just hangout.
